I am confident in the kind of mother I am. I know I am a good mom. I listen, I support, I love, love, love my child. I focus on her in many ways so she knows how important she is to me and to this world with her unique abilities. She often tells me I am the best mom in the world.
This is music to my ears every time. And she is the best daughter in the world. She really is a great kid - now a young woman since her 18th birthday.
But the best feeling of all was finding out she tells all her friends that I'm the best mom in the world. I had to go up to the school a few weeks ago, near the end of the day. Some kids were out of class and heading home. One of her friends called out, "Hi, Rachel's mom! The best mom in the world!" I blushed as all the kids around looked at me and smiling shyly, I said Hi back. But what an awesome feeling THAT was!!
I think I might have that as my epitaph on my tombstone! "Best Mom In The World". What an honor!
